MedMe Health joins the CAN Health Network to expand access to pharmacy-led care

Through a CAN Health Network commercialization project, MedMe is building APIs that bring its AI agents for appointment booking and patient engagement to one of Canada's largest pharmacy networks.

On July 2, 2026, the CAN Health Network announced that MedMe Health is joining the network through a commercialization project. The project aims to expand access to pharmacy-led care and make it simpler for Canadians to book health services across the country.

As part of the project, MedMe is building scalable APIs to integrate and deploy its AI agents, which automate pharmacy appointment booking and patient engagement across multiple access channels. The shared goal is for pharmacies to act as a front door to care, so less urgent needs can be redirected to pharmacy clinics. That reduces strain on emergency departments and family physicians.

“As pharmacists take on a larger role in delivering clinical services, the systems around them need to evolve as well,” said Purya Sarmadi, Co-Founder and CEO of MedMe Health. “At MedMe, we're building AI capabilities that allow pharmacies to operate as intelligent care hubs… This CAN Health project allows us to deploy and scale that capability across one of Canada's largest pharmacy networks.”
